3G (Third Generation of Mobile Telephony)
3G refers to the third generation of mobile telephony (cellular) technology. The third generation, as the name suggests, follows two earlier generations. 3G is a mobile communications standard that allows mobile phones, computers, and other portable electronic devices to access the Internet wirelessly.
